In a bid to reassuring Nigerians and the world of his commitment to delivering credible polls as he counts down to the end of his tenure, President Muhammadu Buhari has told the world that he would not be ready to entertain any excuse from the Independent National Electoral Commission over the conduct of the 2023 general elections.
President Buhari gave the assertion in Washington DC when he was questioned on the readiness of the electoral commission for the 2023 polls during an interactive session dubbed, “A conversation with President Muhammadu Buhari of Nigeria.”
In his words: “I made sure they were given all the resources they asked for because I don’t want any excuses that they were denied funds by the government.”
He reiterated that his government has approved all requests brought by the commission led by Mahmood Yakubu.
Meanwhile, President Muhammadu Buhari clocked 80 years old today. He celebrated his 80th birthday in Washington DC.
